Exactly one year ago today I wrote my very first blog. So far I have been able to keep it all going pretty well, at least until now there seems to be enough to say. While I enjoy blogging very much, there is a difficult balance which has to be made between the every day sort of happenings and what I need to record in the electronic blah blah medium.

Our blogiversaries are only 5 days apart!
I too struggle now with the issue of 'what to post/what not to post.' Especially since I've found out my manager reads my site, I'm more concerned about what I say, of course. I'm trying to let it be a positive influence rather than the negative one it so easily could be - it's preventing me from posting any acidic thoughts that might make me seem like a nutcase! :-) And I've found that saving up what I post for one big one at the end of the day makes what I end up posting that much more significant - no more mindless chatter (that can, however, be a fun thing to read, too.)
After a year of doing this, I think you reach a point where you have to pare it down to essentials or else it will take over your life. "Simplify" might be a message all bloggers need to write down and stick on their monitors.
Happy Blog Birthday! :)
